About

Background and experience across offshore wind, the maritime sector, subsea, and adjacent energy markets.

I have spent the better part of a decade inside Norway's offshore wind system: first at METCentre, where I led the process that resulted in Norway's first offshore wind licence under the Havenergiloven, and later at RWE Offshore Wind, where I served as Senior Consent Manager and Regional Lead Norway across the country's first licensing rounds at Utsira Nord and Sørlige Nordsjø II.

That is only one part of the picture. Before offshore wind, and alongside it, I built more than a decade of international B2B sales and business development across maritime, offshore, subsea, and energy industries. The common thread has been technical products, complex projects, long sales cycles, and markets where commercial outcomes depend on both credibility and execution.

My background combines engineering, economics, technical project work, business development, sales support, and market-facing execution. I have worked close to the realities of how offshore and maritime projects are shaped in practice - technically, commercially, and institutionally.

Commercially, a significant part of my work has been tied to business development, sales support, market positioning, and partnership-oriented work. That includes helping companies understand where they fit, how to present themselves credibly in demanding markets, and how to connect technical capability with real commercial opportunity.

I also see strong overlap between offshore wind, the maritime sector, and subsea. Many of the same questions recur across these domains: industrial positioning, supply chain logic, project execution, stakeholder complexity, and the challenge of turning capability into contracts and long-term market presence.

In 2025 I founded NorthernBlue AS to turn that experience into an independent practice focused on regulatory process, business development, commercial structuring, market development, and positioning.

While offshore wind remains the most visible part of my recent background, the underlying value is broader. I work at the boundary between industry, policy, capital, technology, sales, and execution. It is a perspective shaped by the need to connect technical capability, commercial direction, and market reality.
